Swimming at Main Face

Postby mick » Sun Jun 28, 2009 12:14 pm

So the water was amazing yesterday at Paces Lake and it's only going to get nicer. I had heard a rumor that there was a safe place to jump in around the base of Main Face and I'm wondering where that might be. Wading in just isn't as much fun.

No, I will not hold you accountable if I cane myself on the bottom. I'll check it out before taking the plunge but knowing the general vicinity where I ought to look would save me some time.

Yeah, from the e gully swim away from the popcorn towards first face and you'll see a decent jumping spot around the corner. Stellar spot.

both are good -- but if you swim around the corner and find the climb up to a small ledge -- its sweet. kinda awkward to get to but hey were climbers

...though I hope you mean 'quickly' and not 'nude' when you say 'in a flash'.

I was definitely in over my head and thermometer which can also be used interchangeably.

Quiglin said, "Embracing the ice and snow, head and eyebrows held high."
