Aid Climbing - Anyone interested? Need a fourth.

Postby Burley » Fri Mar 20, 2009 10:46 am

We are looking for a fourth on Saturday to join us at Cochrane lane. Contact me at the below email addy.

If you haven't done it before you are still welcome if you want to learn the system. You'll need lead belay experience (we can discuss), a harness and helmet for sure. We'll keep you alive.

The offer is out there so either you're fully in or you aren't. If you are not sure, may not show, or may drink too much tonight don't contact me ;) But seriously... only contact me if you are in for sure.

Contact me at burley(dot)erick(at)sunbruy(dot)ca before 3pm today.

What? No takers?

I'm surprised no one out there wants to belay for 2 hours then jug a fixed line and clean gear - Then repeat. Who would have thought ;)

I don't know... it sounds like fun to me... all that's missing is darkness and a snow storm.

wow Burley - with an enticing second post like that - I'm sure the 'belayers' will be lining up ;-)

Ha Ha... that's what I was hoping, but it didn't pan out. What did I say wrong?

What I meant to say was: Come on out and enjoy the beautiful weather and a relaxing day of rock climbing with a good looking, highly entertaining, fine smelling young man with a winning personality... I'm not sure where I'll be while all of this is going on ;)

I don't really want a belayer anyhow

Did you guys go? How is everything looking? Were there any routes that looked dry enough to climb?

Saturday was warm and sunny. Wise Crack was led on aid by both trad_reborn and myself. Burley led a nice aid-solo linkup of weeping wisker - snot - peer pressure. Almost everything in the cheekbone area is dry. Lots of climbers out on saturday. I know climbs are dry at the cave, pyramid, simpson. I hear Joe's is still wet.

Couldn't resist
