I have a bunch of leave to burn off soon and I saw a post about Sandy Cove from Chris.
Just wondering if theres anymore info out there on the area other than what I've been googling.
Anything would be helpful :)

Bouldering or rock climbing? I've got some beta for both...
I want to go to hell... there's probably lots of rock to climb there.

just bouldering, we figure we'll drive up for the day. Walk around and boulder etc then spend the night at a B&B or something.

There are two good bouldering spots within 5min drive of each other.

The first one is in Centerville, know as Trout cove bouldering. When you are driving down the Digby neck and get to Centerville, take a right on Trout Cove Road. As you approach the Bay of Fundy, just before the wharf, you'll see a cliff on the right hand side. Follow the gravel road that leads to the cliff and park near the boulders. You'll find several nice basalt boulders all around the base of the cliff.

The second spot is Sandy Cove. When you are driving down the Digby neck and get to Sandy Cove, take a right on Bay Road at the bottom of the hill. Follow Bay Road all the way to the end at the Bay of Fundy. Park here near the sandy beach. When looking out at the ocean, hike to the right along the rocky coast line. I think it's about a 20min hike to the boulders. I only got to climb once at this spot but it was alot of fun.

Beware of ticks in the tall grass, especially at Trout Cove.

Enjoy

Fred

I know about the area, just not from a climbing standpoint. But if you're looking to get here and not have to use a car, I'm a shuttle and tour operator who lives near Sandy Cove, and can get you here and also show you around! http://www.freewebs.com/digbytoursandshuttle

thanks for the offer! we're most likely driving down with our own car. But since your in the tourism industry is there any major "must sees/must dos" while we are down there? We might be staying for a few days so a good B&B would be nice if you have any recommendations etc
