Hi all. I'm very interested in climbing but have zero experience. At work I have recently begun a high angle rope rescue course and it has stirred my curiosity. I know rope rescue and recreational climbing are two very different things. I'm not sure how good or bad I'd be at this sport but would love to try none the less! Any advice on how to start?

The UNB Rock & Ice Club will be having a Spring Rock School in May this year. Stay tuned for more info by 'liking' the facebook page. We usually have these events in Welsford, just north of SJ.

Thanks for the advice. To do this course would you need all of your own gear?

Nope,
Everything is provided (harness,ATC, helmets, climbing shoes, ropes, etc.) . I don't have details yet so that's all I got for now. We will probably have a poster in the event section of this forum sometime within the next month. I'll have more details then.
